What is automated deburring?

Automated deburring takes place though deburring systems that deburr parts up to 400 mm via tool-or workpiece-controlled systems. These deburring cells are equipped with 5 axes. This permits a 3D-guided deburring and even fine deburring of complex workpieces. Post-processing via a round or change table also permits parallel supply during the main times for speeding up production with higher piece numbers and increased precision.

Manual workplaces versus automated deburring

In Germany alone, 6,062,562 motor vehicles were manufactured in 2016. Production requires small parts that rely on precise post-processing for use. In light of these high production numbers, management of post processing of these parts via manual workplaces is hardly possible. Automated deburring is to remedy this.
